It is great to see the 2026 Summer Seminar underway at VMI in Lexington, Virginia. Would it be a SMH Summer Seminar if it didn’t involve a stack of military history books?
We would like to extend special recognition to the John Adams Center for Military History & Strategic Analysis for its collaboration with the Society for Military History in making this exceptional summer seminar possible.
This partnership has brought military history to life through immersive learning experiences, thoughtful discussion, and engagement with the people, places, and events that have shaped our past. We are grateful for the John Adams Center's support in creating a memorable program.
Don’t miss out! We’re back on Instagram. Follow us at SMH_Historians for updates, event information, and photos from the organization. 📸
Last week the Summer Seminar Fellows explored the George C. Marshall Foundation, experienced the Virginia Military Institute Winter Parade uniforms, and participated in a staff ride of the Battle of Chancellorsville.
