For #PhallusThursday one of the oldest depictions of a phallus, carved out of very fine-grained siltstone some 30,000 years ago.
According to the museum's label "apart from its purely symbolic meaning different uses are conceivable." 🤔
On display at Urgeschichtliches Museum Blaubeuren.

NBC's #SurvivingEarth, from the creators of the OG Walking With Dinosaurs, is off to a good start IMO!
First episode was about the great dying at the end of the Permian Period! 90% of life RIPed☹️
Lots of neat obscure species featured, with a message on climate change as well. I enjoyed it a lot!
First time spending enough time here to read things thoroughly. This exhibit is gorgeous and photographs really well. There’s some great storytelling at the micro level but I don’t love the “arbitrary topics about dinosaurs” organization.

Remember when Kesha jumped up on one of these open platforms? I wonder how often people do that. I also wonder how high the conservator’s blood pressure spiked when this design decision came down. 🫠
