When I was very young, I wrote a letter (remember those?) to Michael Benton (a foremost British palaeontologist) because I loved his books on dinosaurs which I read daily
I may still have the letter he wrote back somewhere. Very cool

Tonight's Wolves at the Door #TTRPG saw us through The Monolith, meeting lost adventurers, communal cultists, and a humming door. Arriving at War Torn Wastes, we set off to find the gems of Nour in hopes of crossing the Worm Grass & into the Castle of Darkness

What you see in the Sun, is the Chicago skyline from the Indiana Dunes beach, across Lake Michigan.
You can see it from 50 miles of distance due to a form of superior mirage, because the skyline is seen above where it's actually located.
