I get the impetus behind this but OTOH I can't help thinking that POC scholars (who we know are asked to do more reviews and service work in the academy, especially of late) are going to be inequitably punished by these kinds of policies. Hope it doesn't become a trend.
Today someone sent me a submission addressed to the wrong press, and then immediately corrected themselves and offered to send me "a can of excellent glazed pecans" as an apology. I am utterly charmed. Never change, academic authors.
