Some folks have asked about RenPy switching to AI coding. Here's what I know.
In a March 2026 Patreon-only update, the dev announced using LLMs for coding "mundane grunt work" moving forward. So the last version of RenPy with no AI code in it is 8.5.2, available here: www.renpy.org/release/8.5.2
