Agree with this and struggle with it. Policymaking done well is actually slow — that’s democracy and bureaucracy — and American liberal institutions are not built to work quickly.
👇🎯 The last 3 Dem presidencies, but on steroids. Instead of just fixing the economy each time, Dems now have to rebuild the entire polity. And this is why <major institutional reform> is crucial. Dems are going to lose future elections. We must have multiparty democracy reform before that happens.

One issue with Trump and Iran that I can't stop thinking about is how he has three years to make this worse, and will, and then somehow a Democrat is going to be pegged to solve an unsolvable problem and then get blamed for it.
