BBC Radio 4 ‘In Our Time’, recently featured the topic of ‘The Welsh Marches’. The programme was recorded in front of a live audience at the Hay Literary Festival. On the panel were Helen Fulton, Huw Pryce (Bangor University) and Rhun Emlyn (Aberystwyth), with presenter Misha Glenny.
@mattlampitt.bsky.social has published an article in Open Access Government describing some of the manuscript books that travelled to the Marches. The article comes out of his research into Marcher manuscripts and their connections with international literary and scribal networks.
The MOWLIT team has partnered with the Historic Towns Trust to create a historic map of the Marcher towns of Brecon and Hay-on-Wye. Join us at Hay Castle on 28 May to celebrate the map’s launch! ticketpass.org/event/ENYEBW... ticketpass.org/event/ENYEBW... ticketpass.org/event/EOBKRE...
