Today, I joined Rep. Eddie Morales in calling for swift action to protect Texas ranchers, livestock producers, and rural communities from the threat of New World screwworm.
As Lt. Governor, I will make sure Texas responds swiftly to threats like this and is prepared.
Tonight, Texans chose a politics rooted in decency, dignity, and the belief that our state belongs to all of us.
Now, we keep going, for public schools, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, clean water, and a Texas that is kinder, safer, and more hopeful.

Today, I’m mourning the loss of Sylvia Collins, a longtime Precinct Chair, community advocate, and dedicated Democrat who spent decades serving Dallas and the broader community. My heart is with Sylvia’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
