this is why I don't think that just ignoring these takes will make them go away. they aren't really trying to troll the left per se. they are appealing to a mainstream audience which finds moral panics about marginalized ppl fun/exciting/scary. 1

"I am fighting the dictatorship of marginalized people" is just catnip for NYT, atlantic, etc, because you get to cater to the majority's fears of being treated like marginalized people.
