On this day in 1903, Andrew Jackson Jr. received US Patent No. 730,918 for an “Eye-protector for chickens”.
Glasses for chickens sounds like a joke. But pecking and cannibalism were real poultry problems.
Funny-looking patent. Very practical problem.
