IMHO this is the most obvious point at which Objective Journalism fails to meet this moment. "Conspiracy" is the bad-faith public frame used to provide cover for racist policy. Such Journalism can only report on racism if someone admits they're racist, not if they simply say it's something else.

I think conspiracy may be a bad frame for right wing election denial because what they’re really expressing is a belief in is the idea that non-white people shouldn’t be able to vote.
