Haitian Bridge Alliance has sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio requesting a review of the case involving Omar Abdulkadir Artan, the Somali referee selected by FIFA to officiate at the 2026 FIFA World Cup who was recently denied entry to the United States.
Our role as an org is to raise our voice when members of the Haitian community and other marginalized groups face barriers to opportunity. Today, we celebrate a positive outcome for Mr. Pierre, his family, his teammates, and the millions of Haitians around the world who will be cheering for him.
