I've probably graded no more than a half dozen books as "Mint" since opening my own shop. One was an ELEKTRA ASSASSIN #1 that was just pristine. And shockingly, a couple Mint-ers (as nobody calls them) popped up in that huge 1960s Marvel collection I got a year or three back.

I'm not supporting any politician Grandad would have shot at the Battle of the Bulge

I'm reminded of the time we had a copy of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #21 (the return of the JSA!) listed in a print ad or something at "Mint." Like, absolutely perfect. Person called to ask about it, queried (reasonably) was this REALLY Mint? We assured him it was...though skeptical, he bought it.
It was because of this sort of thing that the Official Grade 'Em and Slab 'Em companies popped up, because no one on eBay was capable of grading a comic and they saw a need to "standardize" things. (And I have my opinions about those companies' abilities as well.)

In other news, I had a large crowd of people waiting outside my store when I opened today. Specifically, a crowd of people waiting to get into *my* store, to buy comics, not just a crowd just hangin' out n the parking lot or whatever.
