Anyone who’s had more than 5 minutes of experience with Dolan knows exactly who to blame. There was a long running assignment at the Observer where newbies got assigned a write around of Dolan, partly because it’s a good way to learn, but also bc he always warranted one
The platform must be institutional reform. All the policies follow from that. And the more and sooner everyone realizes that, the better:
There is a problem with the stories we tell & the way we perceive how change happens. The Union of Pinnacle Tenants, the largest tenant-led union in NYC—are the reason Mamdani took action. Organized people power is pivotal. Top down stories of elected heroes (even ones we like) are not sufficient.
