I did a panel earlier this year on character development, and the idea of "earned subversion," where there an "earned" payoff to keeping a characters traits very consistent for a long time, for the purpose of getting to make jokes way later on in their arc. This is my favorite example of this 😭😭

An old Instagram account for my cat got yoinked using that AI assistant chat hack, so now it’s impossible to recover - they changed the email address but there’s no ‘reverse this change’ safety notif email because of the hack method and selfie verification doesn’t work because…the pics were of a cat
