What are things like content moderation or encryption if not a form of harm reduction, community care, and an example of _us_ keeping _us_ safe when others won't?
I'm inspired by what these folks are building: healthy communities, community-led moderation, and a feed that doesn't keep you scrolling. Social technologies built on decentralized protocols are still in their early days, but from Activity Pub, AT proto, to other protocols, there's real momentum.
What is open source if not a multi-generational sharing of knowledge and a promise to preserve the commons that grew you?
