I am not a physicist, but it took me all of 0.45 seconds to question how in the world you are going to get rid of all of that heat and realize this was a dumb dumb duuuuumb idea.

Tor Nightingale is literally a smuggler so... smuggling? He does have a favorite instance of said crime: he was contracted to transport basic food and medical supplies to a tightly corporate-controlled colony and also smuggled a bunch of "illicit" materials like playing cards, spices, and books.

#subpost My stories aren't for everyone. And that's fine. No story is universal. But if my stories aren't for you, don't try to justify not reading them with some faux-objective criteria about how you can tell my stories (that you haven't even read) must be bad.

I feel like sometimes I have weird metaphor blind spots. I picked up that Saros, the video game, was referencing the King in Yellow very early on. I did not pick up on the Hinduism references until the final moments. (Seriously, the hero is "Arjun." Should have tipped me off.)

This skeet brought to you by the pizza where every slice has a half-cut divot down the middle, as though someone got partway into slicing, and decided to instead slice along a different axis at the last moment.

Pizza come in three forms: 1) Normal 2) Sliced in a way that makes you wonder how little sleep the cutter got last night. 3) Sliced in a way that makes you wonder if the cutter hates humanity and this is how they are expressing it.
