Oh, getting done with working the Lynx game, let me check the U.S. women’s national soccer team game vs Brazil and see what happened
eight red cards??
Ola Kosu's 20 minutes tonight were a career-high, by my count. She's really come into her own as a rotation player here with the Lynx needing front court depth. Undoubtedly athletic, and seeing marked improvements, still only 21 years old.
Fav Kayla McBride quote from today's Lynx postgame presser, describing the team: "It's like a buffet. I literally said that practice yesterday. This is a buffet, it's like a little bit everything. You can take whatever you want, you can go for seconds, that's what it feels like."
people who recognize me at coffee ships or restaurants. I’m definitely noticing it, but it kind of takes you by surprise … it’s trippy.”
"We enjoy like cheering for each other and seeing each other succeed and do well. And when you have that on both ends of the floor ... it's been everybody, everybody eats, and that's been the best part about it. We really, really enjoy that part of it."
PWHL Las Vegas signs Frost goaltender Nicole Hensley, splitting up the goalie duo of Rooney and Hensley for the first time in MN.
“We’re not even halfway in yet. There’s so much we can do as a team, and so much I feel like I have, more love to give this city. Just getting started, obviously, but the way we play basketball, you can just feel the love through it."
Olivia Miles closed today’s Lynx postgame press conference answering a couple questions about fan reception/support in Minnesota:
“It’s incredible, even to see one person in my jersey, it makes me kind of emotional. ... I’ve got so many cool messages, stories ..." (🧵 thread)
