And by "do cool things" I'm of course also referring to the ability to create all-day bus lanes (Seymour and Howe here) without 8 years of study and consultation.
I've genuinely never seen buses go down this corridor more efficiently.
We can do cool things in this city if we want. We can make spaces for people

I'm sure its medical advice is solid though
look I'm not guaranteeing that if we elect a progressive mayor our sports team will win a championship after a 50+ year drought, I'm just saying it's worth a try
wow wait are you telling me you can create a vibrant pedestrian space without 10 years of consultation and a terribly rolled out underfunded pilot? you can just DO it?
"A key goal of Carney’s AI strategy is for 60% of businesses to adopt AI by 2034, up from about 12% currently, [with] a $700-million fund to boost AI use among small and medium-sized businesses."
There infinite ways that Carney could support small business and this is definitely the worst one
When you look at who reposted this ABC anti-vision-zero misinformation on twitter, it becomes pretty clear why they voted to gut the plan.
The mayor, his chief of staff, president of the police association, and VP of the police union.
So much for "public safety." No safety, only police
In the past 3 weeks ABC has tweeted about " #publicsafety " 16 times. Yesterday they voted against a critical, data-driven measure that would objectively save lives.
12 pedestrians were killed on Vancouver streets last year, the most in almost 2 decades.
Sim and ABC don't care about your safety.
ABC just voted to gut the Vision Zero Safe Mobility Plan. This was a critical, evidence-based package of reforms that would have saved lives and had virtually unanimous public support...but they voted to kill the most important part.
And they used shameless spin to justify it.
Unacceptable!

Hey it's @mihai-cirstea.bsky.social ! Last year 16 Vancouverites killed in motor vehicle collissions. 12 were pedestrians. Highest number in 15 years. This council prides itself on public safety. This is the biggest public safety issue of our time. This will save lives, please support it. (Yeah!!)
