Read the article because the requirements for XBOX are also unbelievable. It's insane that this made it into a press release without any of the decision makers realising how insane and unpopular this is.
Idk if this is interesting. But I hate to see these companies win their disinformation campaigns. These companies are not close to creating artificial general intelligence and they know it. That is still as much a work of science fiction as it was 10 years ago.
Algorithms were already conditioning users to generate the generic content that is optimised for user retention, LLM AIs are just an attempt to cut out the middle-man.
I know this isn't how these terms are commonly used, but the common usage makes less sense. We should have realised by now that the blockchain didn't meaningfully change the way people use the internet.
Web 1.0: direct, text-based, peer-to-peer connection. Web 2.0: GUIs, websites, designed for hosting/sharing information. Web 3.0: Algorithms, optimised for user retention and advertising spend. Combined, current LLMs represent a shared frontier of user retention and advertising opportunities.
I don't think LLM AI is a new era of the internet, it is just an extension of the era we were already in which is one of algorithmically curated feeds.
