Where were you in your life in 93/94? @vkon1.bsky.social joined me to reminisce the trauma of following Spurs in an injury plagued season that was overshadowed by a boardroom coup that almost saw us relegated. Sound familiar?? Its out Tuesday! podfollow.com/is-gascoigne...
Just started listening to this. I agree - A 'Moan' should definitely be the collective term for a group of Spurs podcasters!
I'm working on my @spursnostalgiapod.bsky.social script for episode about George Graham's appointment in 1998. It's gonna be a documentary style. Anyone got any vivid memories, hot takes or left field opinions...purely about his appointment and what it meant rather than how it worked out?
Timing and serendipity play a huge role in football. It feels as though our run to the CL in 2019 was a moment in time. Sadly, I think the dominance of the PL, City and Liverpool's transition periods mean its inevitable that Arsenal will be 'knocking on the door' again and again for next few years.
What were your best (and worst) memories of Spurs in the mid-90s? Chances are they'll be covered on my podcast over the next 10 weeks. Interviews with Gerry Francis and Jason Dozzell. Season Reviews of two BIG relegation scares, the incredible 94/95 campaign, PONY kits, Capital Gold Sport.
Belated question from last couple of home games re pre-game hype and pyrotechnics.. who enjoys them and/or goes home thinking "Do you know what really added to my experience today, it wasn't the match, the social engagement, it was the flame bombs" What value does it actually add?
In fairness, they had every right to feel they would go on to dominate English and European football in early 2000s before Chelsea, and then City, bought their way to the top table just as they'd invested in a gamechanging new stadium...and you couldn't deny they were 'doing it the right way'.
Trailer episode for Season 2 now out 💪 Was supporting Spurs in the mid 90s easier or harder than it is today? If you nearly fainted when Klinsmann signed, hid behind the sofa when we travelled to Oldham in 94 or relied on Capital Gold Sport this season is for you! podfollow.com/is-gascoigne...
New episode out now This week we review a season we'd all rather forget, give out TGIAG Awards, and go through the latest news and transfer rumours Get it in your ears 👇 podfollow.com/the-game-is-... #COYS #Spurs #THFC
