I've found the signature of my new 6x great grandmother's brother, Rev. Thomas Roderick of Llantrisant, and it's got quite the flourish! At first I thought the number was the year of the king's reign, but it's off a few years. Now I think it's his age! Wonder where he attended college? #Genealogy
Of my 8 known 6x great grandmothers, I know the parents of 5 of them. Of my 8 known 6x great grandfathers, I known the parents of just 1 of them. This is part of the reason I have so much trouble with the "I can't find my women ancestors" comments cause I have the opposite problem! #Genealogy

I just broke another brick wall! My 6x great grandfather is John Roderick, husbandman, of Pantyclay, Llandeilo. He named my 5x great grandma, Lettice, in his 1815 will as his granddaughter! Also, his farm is probably the same as her son & then granddaughter lived in as late as 1913! #Genealogy
When talking to my friend last night, they were very amused by the term "brick wall" & said they were now gonna use it in their everyday life. They asked where it comes from and I was like, I guess it's just #Genealogy community culture! Cute to see that term resonate so much with them.

Is there any legal route that can be taken to force a government run facility (in England) to disclose redacted information to the relations of the deceased?
