Have you ever heard this quote from a letter that Fanny’s father sent her as a teenager?
“Music will perhaps become [Felix’s] profession, whilst for you it can and must only be an ornament, never the root of your being and doing.”
Turns out that quote is WRONG and has been for 150 years!
