Yesterday marked a year since Melissa and Mark Hortman's lives were taken in an act of political violence.
Melissa is known for her influential servant leadership that kept Minnesota in the center of her work. She and Mark are remembered for their service to others. Let us all honor their legacy.
She was the chief author of HF 1809, a bill to ban abortion in 2023. She also voted against the PRO Act and the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act in 2023. Just this year, she received MCCL’s endorsement and has voted in alignment with MCCL’s anti-abortion agenda 100% of the time.
