تعرض نضال شيخاني للتعذيب في الجناح 13 من سجن عدرا بسبب كتابة رسالة دعم لأحد السجناء السياسيين. وأدت الإصابات التي لحقت به جراء التعذيب إلى إصابته بعجز دائم. وهو يرأس حالياً منظمة لحقوق الإنسان تعمل على توثيق انتهاكات استخدام الأسلحة الكيميائية في سوريا.
