Last year, leading scientists briefed MPs in Westminster on the risks facing the UK.
Now, the film version is spreading nationwide as communities & workplaces host screenings of The People’s Emergency Briefing.

The initial broadcast should be a major national moment: announced in advance, carried at prime time, and made available across all the channels people use today.
It should also cover the enormous benefits of urgent action.
It’s time for full transparency - an essential principle of democracy.

Some people are rightly flagging that fewer people watch TV these days.
We’re using “televised” as a shorthand.
Like the Covid briefings, this should go out across multiple channels - radio, social media, billboards, with BSL interpretation and translations into different languages.
We are calling on the government to stage a prime-time televised emergency briefing on the severe threats to the UK presented by climate change and nature loss - introduced by the Prime Minister and delivered by independent experts.
