if there’s a lens to view the Iran War through—it’s tabloid media. it was a media event. it was supposed to be a “quick win” à la Venezuela—one that produced splashy headlines amid a bad quarter. there was never consideration of Iranian interests bc it was viewed purely as how it’d play to the rags
