Our paper "Gene ancestries reveal diverse microbial associations during eukaryogenesis.” is finally out in Nature.
Eukaryogenesis was likely a gradual process shaped by multiple microbial partners and virus-mediated gene transfer, rather than a single binary symbiosis.

Today I'm posting a new blog about an astonishing scientific own goal. Hundreds of papers have reported using a totally wrong antibody to investigate the tumor suppressor p16. This mistake has happened because scientists have muddled the names of two proteins.

The Natufian culture lived in the area of today's Israel and Lebanon from 15,000–11,500 Before Present. In the Eynan site people discovered a burial of 45 yo woman and her puppy, which is the oldest physical evidence for dog domestication.
