I knew how this story ended before the movie started. Didn't matter. Pressure still finds plenty of tension in the anguish of making the final, fateful decision for D-Day to go ahead.

Really liked TerraTech Legion from @terratechgame.bsky.social. Ramming straight through enemy swarms in a barely-controlled pile of guns and drills feels great.

I liked Tides of Tomorrow's Story-Link system. Seeing other players' choices ripple in your own game is genuinely cool. I got kinda tired of characters telling me how awesome or awful the last guy was, though.

Sigono’s OPUS: Prism Peak is surprisingly raw about regret, self-worth, and middle-aged burnout. Feels like if Miyazaki and Shinkai made a movie about a man's midlife crisis. @shueisha-games.bsky.social

Cleaning Up! from @koobazaur.bsky.social swaps out the chaotic joy of Just Crow Things for a quieter cozy-game vibe. It's pleasant and relaxing, but I miss Crowy's gremlin energy.

Echo Isle succeeds at exactly what it sets out to do. That's also my biggest criticism of it. A pleasant one-evening Zelda-like that never quite steps out from the shadow of the game that inspired it.

My addiction to All Hail the Orb from @legingerdev.bsky.social made me play through it melting down on my Steam Deck. Highly recommend this one, but definitely play it on a computer instead.

868-BACK looks like it was built in MS Paint. It’s ugly, mean, and incredibly hard to put down. A truly fantastic roguelike.

Sektori from @gimblll.com finally hit Switch 2 today and I still can’t stop playing it. This is the closest any modern arcade shooter has come to Geometry Wars for me.

I'm so impressed by the pixel art and animation in Alabaster Dawn from @radicalfishgames.com. If the Early Access launch is already this polished, I can't wait to see how it ends up at 1.0.

Pressure stars Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser in a WWII drama about the weather forecasts, military pressure, and difficult decisions behind D-Day.
Josh Koenig’s Echo Isle is a compact Link's Awakening homage with charming dungeon exploration and handheld-era spirit, but little identity beyond its inspiration.
All Hail the Orb mixes duck-filled cult management with addictive incremental progression, though Steam Deck performance and worker automation drag it down.
DigixArt's Tides of Tomorrow uses an asynchronous multiplayer story system to connect players through shared choices in a flooded post-apocalyptic world.
Unbound Creations’ Cleaning Up! delivers satisfying cleanup gameplay and cozy pacing, even if it lacks the personality of the studio’s earlier work.
