They are still useful for those of us who want to feel like we're part of the community but are low on money, transportation options, energy, and time! (Me, that's me we're talking about.)
Being tethered to the house is not very exciting. But online events and friends make a big difference!

That's the thing with virtual events. I know many people no longer feel they are useful post-pandemic and attendance numbers aren't what they were when we were all trapped at home but I think they are. Especially for right kind of conversations.
