The problem that we who watch (or try to watch) Washington Journal on C-SPAN @cspanwj.bsky.social are stuck commenting on TwitterX, which has the chatbot Growl, owned by xAI, which is in turn owned by SpaceX. Yes, THAT SpaceX that just made Elon Musk a GD TRILLIONAIRE ! Time to dump X!

We HAVE to start thinking in terms of how CAPITALISM CAN replace and IS REPLACING democracy.
There is literally no other way to look at this. Popular sovereignty is being replaced by market sovereignty.

This was made possible by a hasty loosening of the rules by Musk lobbying index administrators (such as the Nasdaq) to adjust rules to fast-track SpaceX's shares, which forced major index funds to heavily buy into the stock at a take-it-or-leave-it price of $135 per share.
The S&P500 left it.
Trump selling our public lands to private corporations undermines the integrity of the country itself. To corporate CEOs, ownership is rulership, and if they own everything, then they rule not just everything, they rule US.
