Speak to most computer scientists and they’ll likely say “AI” doesn’t have a coherent meaning when standing in for large corporate products. That more coverage should differentiate between ML, GOFAI, logical theorem provers, LLMs etc. But that’s not headlineable or aligned with the managerial trend.
