What's this? Someone who is arriving at the conclusion that LTNs (low-traffic neighbourhoods) may be the answer to urban development pressures...NO, they couldn't possibly be!
I honestly don't know what he thinks reduces traffic on non-arterial roads if not modal filters. He went on to say something about junction controls. But that just smoothes traffic, it doesn't reduce it. He doesn't really want traffic reduction in a neighbourhood...but he also DOES say he wants it?
It turns out that the Bristol’s infrastructure & public services, from bridges to bin collections, are designed for a different climate to the one the last few days have given us a taste of. Climate adaptation is not an issue for the future, it is urgently needed today.
*Toney not Money
I've just read the strategic outline case for mass rapid transit between Birmingham City Centre and Longbridge. 📑 £1.2bn for trams 🚊, £551m for very light rail 🚈 or £113m for bus rapid transit 🚏. The route would be via Smithfield, Pershore Rd to Edgbaston, then across to A38 through to Longbridge.
If Rachel Reeves proposed a permanent offer of free bus travel for Children instead of a Fuel Duty Freeze, this would reduce congestion and pollution, save parents time on the school run, and make public transport more effective. www.theguardian.com/business/202... Instead, we will get the opposite.
My picks for the England 26-Player World Cup Squad (4-2-3-1) GKs Pickford Henderson Trafford RBs James Konsa LBs O'Reilly Shaw CBs Guehi Qansah Maguire Chalobah Tomori CMs Rice Anderson Mainoo Wharton AMs Bellingham Gibbs-White Rogers Foden RWs Saka Palmer LWs Rashford Eze CFs Kane Watkins
3 out of 3 errors from Tuchel already IMO: Palmer, Foden AND Maguire not going?!
Sorry, make that 5 out 6: Money IN (wrong) and Gibbs-White OUT (wrong). Only right call so far is Watkins!

Sorry to say I disagree. Offering voting options built on hope not just fear of what's worse *is* putting country before party. We tried the latter for decades and all it does is elevate the constantly deteriorating status quo and paints it as the most optimistic option.
