Finally dug out my NCP image from c1993. Clear shift in position of NCP between mine and yours. About 28 arcmin?
Rotated mine and rescaled to match yours, with my stars roughly at starting position of yours.
Also: SCP from 1987, with LMC (and a special guest...) near top.
