Beaverscaping in action!
Some exemplary #beaverart. I followed a beaver trail through a dense thicket and emerged here in this little flooded opening surrounding this large ash tree.

Me: Beavers evolved into their present form during the Miocene & survived ice ages, glacial melts & climate chaos by engineering stability in their environments. We can thank them for 7mil yrs of biodiversity cultivation!
One of the big take-aways from my field research has been how much beaver contribute to structural diversity in their habitat, and how important that complexity is to their survival.
Old trees, young trees, chewed trees, windblown trees! Impenetrable beaver thickets! Wide open ponds!
