#JuneJottings for 1661
Happy #PretendPanel!
I generally start from a small detail or idea, and build around it. A lot of my prep work is worldbuilding (whether on a large or small scale), and a lot of that is done to support whatever the idea nugget started as.
Happy #AwesomeCharacters!
In the EYES SHINE SILVER crew, it's definitely Cora Ramsey đ¤Ŗ Audrey has her own issues with authority, and while Isabelle may seem like the most irreverent, it's just spicy depression đ¤ˇââī¸ but Ramsey will say just about anything to anyone, especially her bestie Luke đ¤Ŗ
For EYES SHINE SILVER, infamously a Monster Mash Madness prompt where I was gifted with werewolves for a monsterotica feature, the idea of moonlust basically started everything else đ a physiological phenomenon that an entire culture would need to develop around.
For BLUDEYE BEACH, I got the idea for Edie and Milo's love story - the idea of coming back someplace you swore you'd never return to, but finding the Very Important Person you almost left behind. So then I had to come up with the place, the reason not to return, and why MC ultimately would.
Yes. All of them. I love romance story lines. I'm a god damn sucker for a romance story line. I rarely write something that's just a Romance in terms of genre, but for the most part, if I'm writing something, it's probably going to have a strong romantic subplot đ

I am so sick of the anti-paragraph trend. And the 'chapters must be short' trend. Like, SHUSH. Books are meant to have words that go together.
