Today we enhance OT cybersecurity forever Ten years ago, almost every investor I met told me that focusing on OT cybersecurity was a mistake. Not just unfundable. A mistake. Numerous told me it was "stupid" because OT would somehow go away. I understood the argument. OT was a small, specialized market even though it's the critical part of critical infrastructure. The problems were genuinely hard. And as a founder, I kept telling them I wanted to pursue this mission long term with no view or thought of a financial exit for them though this market was also the largest one out there; something that understandably scares many investors. And we did it anyway. Because the alternative — leaving the power systems, water systems, manufacturing plants, data centers, and transportation networks undefended against adversaries — was not a business decision. It was a moral one. Today we announce that Accenture is acquiring a majority stake in Dragos at a $3.25 billion valuation, and all of runZero and NetRise, bringing the combined enterprise value of $4.175B. What makes this unique is that Accenture is moving our OT cybersecurity mission into the governing documents of the company. Dragos remains an independent company and as its CEO, I have operational control of Dragos with the autonomy and ability to give it permanence for the next 100+ years. We will remain an independent and vendor-neutral company as always, and Accenture is going to give us reach, and scale to find and remove adversaries from our community's infrastructure. Accenture will also contribute their OT cybersecurity expertise and unique datasets that no other provider has to help us make the Dragos Platform and our AI capabilities the most complete xOT cybersecurity platform in the market.
