So, a weird new phishing thing. I've long gotten emails from random folks about my work and I respond to them, often with interesting discussions following. Now, I'm getting these as phishing. What a shame. I can't just discuss stuff with anybody who contacts me anymore. Sigh.
Saw some discourse about the issue of older professors not retiring as if that’s the roadblock to younger academics securing jobs. This despite every institution I’ve worked at simply not filling lines when professors retire, which seems a much more prominent trend.
