We’re having a warm winter in Sydney and the bike lanes are busy, busy, busy!
This drone shot of Amsterdam gave me an idea - I'd love a book of aerial cross-sections of city streets from around the world (preferably with a scale so you can compare them.) Pls can someone smarter and with more time than me make this happen?

Beginning as a pop-up pandemic-era intervention in the summer of 2021, Bristol's bustling Princess Victoria Street emerged as a permanent pedestrian space within four years; offering a compelling case of how such measures can reshape public opinion, local economies, and the future of urban streets.🧵

One day we arrived at one of our neighborhood playgrounds & one of my kids’ friends asked if they could get a ride in my bike, so I went around the little sidewalk loop at 3-4mph. They loved it!
Now I end up giving rides to kids I don’t even know (w/ parent permission) every time we’re there. 😆

Cycling in London is booming - with 1.5m cycle trips every day. So we're expanding London's network of cycleways to keep people safe.
Great to see construction underway on permanent bike lanes on Goodsway, Kings Cross, Camden.
