I’m so sorry Kohen died. But I am sorrier his mother chose to put her son in a dangerous situation in the first place. A responsible parent doesn’t take their child along while they commit a crime. Yes, it was only diapers, but she chose to steal. She cannot blame the police for her bad choices!
