Your three-step solution to AI destroying academic legitimacy:
1. Cut publication rates by 75%. Reduce the number of journals.
2. Revise tenure expectations accordingly.
3. Pay reviewers for their time.
The above would radically improve the entire system. Conferences would mean something again.
