I agree that the worst that this is even doing is that it is going to let political appointees take control of grant awards. They should not make decisions because they don't care. They don't have the drive or the autistic interest in the things that matter to them besides wielding money and power.

Now that Bluesky supports uploading a lot of images at once, I can post some of these.
I don't tend to show a lot of works-in-progress, as I tend to let the fay mood take me when I work, but I think it's still neat.

These are currently open to public comment which is super important for future legal challenges in the likely event these changes go through... so I was wondering if you'd be open to submitting a public comment.
The most valuable input will be from anybody directly harmed by the proposed changes... which could include trans people, as one specifically bans grants to any project that "denies the biological reality of the sex binary"
