It’s time for an attitude change in the Attorney General’s office. We’ve become so accustomed to having an AG driven by petty grievance and ideological zealotry that we've forgotten what this office was meant to do. Let's put it back to work doing a powerful amount of good.
Mayes Middleton thinks he can buy the Attorney General’s office, just like he bought the Republican AG nomination. I think Texans see right through it. There’s serious work to be done. And I’m ready to do it.

On what it will mean to win the AG election this November:
Voting to turn a blind eye to corruption is, in itself, an act of corruption. If Mayes Middleton can’t stand up for the rule of law as a State Senator, he is certainly unfit to be Attorney General.
I think people are tired of politicians talking down to them. People are interested in the nuances. I have too much respect voters to speak to them in absurd incendiary language. Let's elect an Attorney General who respects people and the law.

Texas Republicans are increasingly getting their orders from DC politicians instead of their own constituents. It's up to the Attorney General to push back against unconstitutional laws that serve outsiders over Texans. What happened to putting Texas first?
Quality has gone down, prices have gone up, and consumers are being manipulated. As AG, I will make sure that powerful corporations don't control the rules of the game, and are forced to compete.
Texas should have a good lawyer. Extremely grateful to have earned the Democratic nomination for Texas Attorney General. We’ve got a lot of work to do — onward to November!
I think I’ll have to spend a lot of time suing the Trump administration.

We have the wind at our backs to bring powerfully good leadership the AG's office! Thank you to the leaders and organizations across Texas who have given their support and wisdom to this campaign. Early voting for the runoff started today. Now let’s go vote — and bring a friend!
