Not every day you get a letter from Buckingham Palace inviting you to a party!
What a fantastic night Dr Scott Arthur MP had at the Currie Beer & Curry Festival last night. It’s a great community event, good beer, good food and good music.
I’m obviously better at drinking beer than pouring it 🍺
I always have a great time at the Scottish Transport Awards in Glasgow, this year it was extra special as the team received a special commendation for the rollout of Edinburgh’s cycle hire scheme 👏
At this stage of the pilot Edinburgh’s cycle hire scheme really is just the gift that keeps on giving 🚴♂️

It was brilliant that common sense prevailed in the end and this event was able to run yesterday. Thanks to everyone who fought for it and helped to make it happen 👏

I want to thank the public for taking part in this important consultation and officers for analysing and articulating the results. This exercise really does help to shape the strategic business case for tram which we will discuss later this year.

Edinburgh really is one of the greenest and most beautiful cities in the UK. 🌿
Great to see Malleny Garden in Balerno recognised as one of the city’s hidden gems. We’re incredibly lucky to have this special place right here in the Pentland Hills ward.

There is always more we can do but I’m really proud of the Officers and all the frontline staff who have really worked hard to make this happy. A fantastic set of results and who doesn’t like beating Glasgow 😜

The SNP should be paying for these by-elections which will probably cost the city around £80k. I hear they have an elaborate system for managing ad-hoc capital allocation so the money shouldn’t be a problem.
