Farmers are figuring out that you can have solar panels AND still grow food, as this farmer is. He has mushroom production in the shade created by his solar panels.
Dual use = dual incomes from the same space, less mowing and maintenance. This is a win-win-win recipe know as agrivoltaics!
One of the biggest wins — for farmers — about agrivoltaics is that the solar panels can provide a source of income between harvests (and naturally cut down on some expenses as well).
That additional income can, in some instances, help farmers avoid (continued below 👇🏼)
