Apologies to @berniebeck.bsky.social for posting his excellent photo by mistake! Here’s one much more representative of my skill set. Mea Culpa.
Would have been a shame not to jump on the Bufflehead bandwagon this pm at Foryd Bay. Good to meet with travelling birders from wider afield. And what a fabulous bird!
Treecreeper doing what it does!
Penduline Tit at Woolston Eyes, Cheshire yesterday. Well worth a few hours in the cold, waiting for a brief but relatively close up appearance.
Just a few of the 3.6k Pink-Footed Geese that settled over Flint Saltmarsh on the Welsh side of the Dee Estuary over high tide this morning. Volume up!
A sleeping Purple Sandpiper in the high tide roost at Rhos-on-Sea this morning
The unmistakable and wonderful sound of Pink- Footed Geese leaving the Dee Estuary in the morning.
A short walk in the Clwydians this pm. Few birds higher up, except one damp field which had 50+ Redwing, 3 Mistle Thrush, 3 Meadow Pipits and a lone Fieldfare. Nice views, though?!
