Day 14 #30dayswild - pink flowers and dark maroon/black leaves - never seen this variety of elderflower before!
Day 8 #30dayswild 6 ducklings out and about with mum (well-camouflaged against the bank) + feathers everywhere as the annual mallard duck moult takes place (such an amazing colour on this feather) 🪶🦆🐤
Day 11 - another pine ladybird spotted! not many recorded in the north east according to @nenature.bsky.social I'm logging the two I've seen for #30dayswild via irecord.org.uk/user/login. Accurate data sets are vital to support local environmental improvements & policy changes 🐞💪 #citizenscience
Day 13 #30dayswild - a sparkling sun, bright blue sky with clouds being pushed across the sky by the gusty wind, so many shades of life-affirming green, and the ducks, blackbirds, magpies & chiffchaffs getting on with life. Perfect Saturday park wander 😃
Day 10 #30dayswild the male blackbird was 'chuck chucking' away as he fed to let the female know his location. She came over on the ground & he drops food twice to her. Lush to witness a non-human species communicating so clearly 🐦🐦 @rspb.bsky.social @northwildlife.bsky.social @nenature.bsky.social
Day 15 #30dayswild - making the most of the mint + lemon balm which grows in our backyard. Refreshing hot or chilled 🌱

Day 12 #30dayswild and a lush get together for forest school trainee alumni at #ScotswoodNaturalCommunityGarden Hosted by its expert & talented staff, we explored their new facilities, did new activities (+ some cooking🔥), and of course, enjoyed the garden in full bloom - along with all the bees! 🐝
Day 9 #30dayswild - in a reflective mood when walking after a National Emergency Briefing screening tonight. Came across this gorgeous red valerian - always feel hopeful when I see one 💚 Worth a watch if you want to take manageable steps to protect people + planet: www.nebriefing.org/screening-map
