I haven’t seen a Bosnian shot cause this much consternation for Canadians since Franz Ferdinand’s assassination led Prince Arthur, the Governor General, to declare war on Germany in 1914 and the newly-formed Canadian Expeditionary Force deployed over half a million troops to Europe.
