Stopped at Apollo Bay Evie mainly for a tea and topped up the Zeekr with plug and charge, so nice!
Met some lovely subscribers to my Kangaroo Island TV channel on YouTube who rocked up in their brand new Model Y and instantly recognised Twiggy.
Then had a breakfast if champions. Super windy...
Now having a beef vindaloo at Peterborough House, spicy and excellent!
Twig on the jetty...
Sunset over Kingscote town...
Twig and I on the jetty this evening...
Crossed the mighty River Murray on our second ferry of the day.
Traffic was redirected on a big detour set up on Dukes Hwy, for unknown reasons.
Arrived Tintanara RAA with 20%, charged at 175kW.
Pulled into Padthaway van park on dark, set up camp mode.
Drove 430km on the first day of the big lap.
We crossed into Victoria, the first new state of my Zeekr Big Lap of Australia.
Had issues at the new Warrnambool NRMA charger but the help line sorted it.
Happened upon the beautiful Great Ocean Road Tourist Park in Peterborough just at twilight.
Checked out the stunning Southern Ocean.
Very restful night and got Hotel Zeekr dialed in. Camping mode is perfect in 5 degree weather and breaking it all down takes only 20mins.
Pushed the car a little in terms of range, arriving at Mt Gambier RAA with 15%.
Got up to 178kw almost all the way to 90%.
Too fast for breakfast and socials!
And so the journey begins!
We are off in our Zeekr 7X on our second pure EV lap of Australia, counterclockwise this time, about 15,000km in 5 weeks.
Good bye Kangaroo Island...
