Theres loads of great poetic words with the correct specific meanings to use, we don't have to make music writing boring. But it does matter.

Reading a book about music and... I get the need to use evocative words when you're describing sound. But maybe it needs to be proof-read by someone who knows what the words mean. For the avoidance of doubt, you can't blindly use 'syncopated' as a synonym for 'rhythmic'. You can't use 'swung' either
Meanwhile, I have listened to Gallants again and it's definitely right up there with @jimmoray.bsky.social's best.
